Kiz Kulesi [framed]

Kiz Kulesi (maiden tower) sits proudly in Bosphorus, between Europe and Asia. I was inspired to make another detailed drawing like Kathmandu and Mumbai, but with less crowd, and more architecture. Focused on the building itself, and the tourism around it. I grew up in Istanbul, and to go to school, I had to cross Bosphorus on a boat twice a day, and sail by this landmark, yet I haven't visited the actual tower and been inside is until 2017. Much like Kathmandu, I took several reference photos, and incorporated them into the drawing from different angles to match the perspective.
